The Possum Shop
The Possum Shop retails a variety of unique items made out of the possum leather that we process and manufacture in the tannery.
Furnishing products, including a variety of colourful rawhide or natural ragged edge leather lamps and soft leather cushions, make up our main feature lines.
We also retail a range of small giftware items including table mats, wine bottle wraps, planter surrounds and leather artworks. This range will continue to expand as our business grows.
Possum leather is exceptionally strong and durable so it is particularly suited to the manufacture of furnishing products ……. and every item we create represents a few less possums in our rata forest!

A range of high quality possum fur and possum/merino clothing products are offered for sale in the shop along with our leatherwear. These products are all purchased in from established manufacturers around New Zealand. The lamp stands are crafted locally at Weka Arts from macrocarpa or recycled native timbers and most of our accessory items are handcrafted as outwork by local artisans.
